NEW PRODUCTS FALL 2019

DEADLINE in less than 3 weeks (September 20) to present at Champlain School Makerfaire

There are 5 possible products to develop by that time:

  • Existing MakerSpace Engineering kit (YourDuinoEngStarter)
  • Existing new design: (EasyConnectKit)
  • Redesigned Robot Kit with added features and parts, and new Physical Computing How-To
  • New BrickBits kit (Based on new Keyes lego-brick compatible modules)
  • Possible "classroom kit" using drawers similar to CIJE kits

NEW PRODUCT TASKS

What we must do for each new product to be presentable to customers:

  • Decide exact set of parts included in the kit
  • Order quantity of parts for first-pass kit build
  • Decide exact packaging / box; order boxes
  • Design and apply colorful label to product box
  • Write complete How-To chapter for students (WIKI and Printed)
  • Write Teacher material (Wiki and Printed)
  • Design software features and organization
  • Write and test software for distribution with product
  • Write promotional brochure for each product
  • Build enough samples of each kit to be able to give to potential customers
